It takes a long and strenuous trek to reach the summit of Fanxipan Mountain, yet you will earn a chance to savor breathtaking views over Sapa villages peacefully nestled in deep valleys and hills soaked in clouds.

Detailed program

Day 01: Hanoi - Lao Cai
Pick you up at hotel in Hanoi at 20:00pm and transfer to Hanoi train station for the night train to Lao Cai. Overnight on train
Day 02: Lao Cai - Sapa (B, L)
Arrive at Lao Cai around 06:00 a.m. Breakfast at local restaurant and visit the Sino-Vietnamese border. Follow the winding mountainous roads to reach Sapa (40km) - a hilltop retreat centre during the French colonial era. Free time in Sapa for rest and preparation for the next morning trek. Overnight at the hotel in Sapa
Day 03: Sapa - Tram Ton (B, L, D)
Pick up at the hotel then visit the sparkling Silver Waterfall before crossing the highest pass in Viet Nam – the Tram Ton Pass at 2047 metres above sea level, locally called the “Gate of Heaven”. From here, you can capture fantastic view of Fanxipan Mountain - "the roof of Indochina" and winding trails curving around the mountains. Take a rest and relax before starting the challenging trek to the summit. Walking through the primitive rainforest, you will have ample opportunities to enjoy awe-inspiring scenery and to discover rich flora heritage. Stop on the way for lunch. After approximately 5 hours trekking up, we reach our camp site at 2800 metres. Time for camping, preparing dinner and spending a night in the heart of the forest.
Day 04: 2800 m - Fanxipan Summit - 2200 (B, L, D)
After breakfast, continue our trekking to the summit, passing the Yellow Bamboo forests. After approximately 4 hours, we will reach the top of the highest mountain in Viet Nam, Fansipan, also known as ‘the roof of Indochina’ at the height of 3143 metres. Spend 1 hour at the summit to enjoy magnificent views over Sapa town, cloud carpets and surrounding villages. Taking photos and relax. Have lunch then descend to the camp at 2200 metres for dinner. The second night on the mountain.

Day 05: 2200 m - Sin Chai - Lao Cai (B, L, D)
It is delightful to wake up in the middle of fresh and pure nature. Enjoy the atmosphere before returning to civilization. We will resume the trek down through the forest, and stop for lunch after two hours of hiking. Continue descending to the village of Sin Chai inhabited by the Hmong ethnic people. Our vehicle will be waiting and transfer you to Lao Cai station for overnight train to Hanoi. Overnight on train

Day 06: Lao Cai – Hanoi by night train
Arrive in Hanoi early morning around 05:00am (suggested that you should take taxi to your hotel). End of our services.
